POSITION PURPOSE:
Provide leadership, creativity, and guidance in the design, development, optimization and operation of manufacturing and supporting processes.
KEY CUSTOMERS:
Functional Team, Plant Operations, Maintenance & Engineering, Sector Management, Project Sponsors, Research, Consumers.
CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS:
Lead Assigned Technical Team in Support of Plant Objectives
Effective leader, key thinker, and implementer of initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Engagement
Ensure team resources are allocated to drive plant results.
Builds Talent of Team Members
Champion & Lead the Use of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Techniques
Technical expertise and problem-solving ability
Technical specialist providing guidance on resolution of process and equipment problems
Initiate design and developments to optimize high speed manufacturing processes
Implement projects and programs
Ensure work is documented and is retrievable
SCOPE:
Incumbent reports to an Engineering Team Leader and receives direction in the form of broadly defined objectives. Responsibilities include meeting team and individual objectives and effective use and talent building of resources. Incumbent is a recognized technical expert, possesses high standards of professional performance, displays vision, and demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Position typically requires a bachelors or advanced degree in engineering or a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience, and continuing self-development. Typically has experience in a variety of plant/staff assignments. Demonstrated leadership in achieving results. Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment a plus.

Principal Accountabilities Engineering Team Leader - Grade 9
Design and Development: Provide leadership, expertise, and guidance in the initiation, design, optimization and development of manufacturing and supporting processes to achieve unit objectives. Technical Knowledge: Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and guidance in application of engineering principles and/or scientific analysis. Provide advice and counsel sought by others. Safety: Carry out job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and wellbeing of operators, maintenance and other personnel. Security and Documentation: Provide guidance in security and documentation to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information. Problem Solving: Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Internal Control: Lead assigned projects/tasks to meet unit objectives within applicable Corporate policies. Place emphasis on CFI and Internal Control. Communications: Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know. Be informative without being obtrusive or vexatious. Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive. POSITION CRITERIA
Education/Experience:
A bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience, continuing self-development, and engineering experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
