Job Description Lead Mechanical Engineer Mechanical Beech Island, SC Flushable Wet Wipes - Airlaid Manufacturing and Chemical Prep Currently, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Flushable Wet Wipes team in Beech Island, SC.  The initial focus for this individual will be to support Asset Optimization activities in the Airlaid Manufacturing Department.  The primary role of the mill asset optimization team is to provide leadership and execution in solving daily safety, productivity, cost and quality issues to meet business objectives.  In addition the team establishes continuous improvement plans to address chronic longer term issues and advance the capability of the assets. Position Summary: Mechanical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations. The Mechanical Engineer for this role will provide leadership and creativity in design, development, optimization and problem solving for airlaid manufacturing chemical preparation, and utilities processes.  The incumbent reports to an Engineering Team leader and receives direction in the form of general project objectives. Responsibilities: Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization. Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of airlaid, chemical prep, and utilities equipment and processes to meet unit objectives Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management. Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel. Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause. Assist in the development of others within the area of expertise. Basic Qualifications: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.  Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a variety of technical and/or operational assignments in a manufacturing environment.  A demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team while providing task oriented direction to others in order to complete projects within required timeframes. Preferred Qualifications: Specific, in depth technical knowledge and expertise in airlaid manufacturing and chemical preparation processes. Working knowledge of Utilities Equipment, including Chilled Water Systems, Air Compressors, and Air & Dryers Working knowledge of HVAC and Air Handling Systems Experience working with external technical service providers. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
