Maintenance Field Service Tech 3 (BISC

Belcan has a job with a service client for an Maintenance Field Service Tech 3 (BISC) in Beech Island, SC. Under the direction of the supervisor, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed systems and equipment. As the Clients representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill. Primary objective is to ensure that systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their system and equipment.
Trade school graduate, 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. Two year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program. Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.
Two years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment. Successful candidate must have some working experience with material handling equipment. Service experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly prized.
Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 50% of the time traveling. May be continuously away from home for as long as a month.
Must be willing to be on call and travel accordingly and a willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shifts.
Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations, to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to procedures, and have knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, data base functions and communications. Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
Working experience with troubleshooting PLC's is required.
Participates in semi-complex equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls. Participates in training customers on semi-complex products and services.
Performs semi-complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc., and maintains documents of all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures.
Participates in responding to semi-complex service calls and in the assessment of semi-complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommends modifications or improvements.
Demonstrates comprehensive working knowledge of a technical or specialty area, and of operations, methods, and practices. Generally, 2-5 years of successful experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
